Before starting his own business, Alan worked for 25 years for G.Glisson Ltd Plumbing and Heating.
The plumbing and heating firm of A.M.Hancock & Son was started in July of 1972 by Alan Hancock.
His son, Paul, joined him later that year.
Together they started what is now a very well respected and established family business, based in Bath and its surrounding areas.
Alan's eldest grandson, Lee, joined the business in 1988 and was followed by Paul's youngest son Ben in 2004.
Paul has been running the business for the past 10 years, taking it forward whilst maintaining the very high standards the enterprise was founded on. A.M.Hancock & Son became one of the first small businesses in the early 1970's to become a member of Corgi, hence the low registration number of 689
